Words That Shape Learning
Use everyday words to build confidence, guide behavior, and unlock deeper learning.
Session Description
Teachers will explore how everyday interactions—comments, questions, redirections—can be reimagined to support social-emotional and cognitive growth. This track focuses on: Reframing language to promote cooperation, independence, and emotional safety. Using open-ended questions and growth language to promote thinking and problem-solving. Developing a personal interaction blueprint that guides communication in high-stress or teachable moments. Understanding the connection between tone, timing, and teacher-child relationships. Teachers will leave with tools to shift how they speak in the classroom and deepen their ability to guide, connect, and teach through conversation.
